Zanesville, Ohio:: Day 13

 We looked around Zanesville, OH, where Ruth's great grandparents  (the Mautz, Leffler, Barr, Amsbury, and Becklehymer families) lived. They lived in a pretty part of Ohio with rolling hills and lots of trees.

We visited three cemeteries where the families were buried.  Saint John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stovertown, Musingum Co, Ohio.

 Ruth’s great great grandparents, Jonas Leffler (1798 PA - 1817 OH)  & Magdalena Barr Leffler (1794 PN- 1867 OH) are buried here.

  Magdalena Barr Leffler’s parents are there, too.  John Adam Barr Lieutenant (2/15/1761 PN - 1833 OH) and  Elizabeth Schnavely Barr (11/26/1763 NJ - 4/4/1833 OH).  They are Ruth Moutz Pritchard’s great, great, great grandparents.

Our next stop was at

Dutch Hill Cemetery,  at Solomon Lutheran Church by McConnelsville, Morgan County, OH.  Lorenz Mautz (5/24/1785 GER - 12/21/1853 OH) , Ruth Moutz’s great great great grandpa is buried here.

Our last stop was at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, in Deaverton, OH.  Ruth’s great great great grandpa, Adam Leffler Sr (2/7/1778 - 1/12/1845) is buried there.

Ruth was grateful for the opportunity to see where her great grandparents and their families lived.
