Five Gen: Bridging the Gap Through Travel

I starting researching a trip to take my grandma, Ruth, on after her 100th birthday.  I wanted her to have something to look forward to after her big celebration.  As I was looking for someplace fun to travel, I saw the contest "Live Anywhere on Airbnb."   Airbnb was giving away $48,000 in credits to stay in Airbnbs and $12,000 to travel  anywhere in the world  for the next year for you and up to three other people.     With little hope of being chosen out of hundreds of thousands of applicants from around the world, I applied.   Much to my surprise, I got an email that I was a finalist.  That's all it took to get me excited about the opportunity. The first thing I did was call my mom to make sure she wanted to be one of the people I took with me.  She is always up for a trip.  Next, I called my grandma.  She hasn't wanted to travel with us lately, because she was afraid she would slow us down...

Blair turned 6 in 2021.  She likes to sing, dance, talk on the phone, travel, and play with friends. Blair at 1. Blair at 2. Blair at 3. Blair at 4. Blair at 5. Blair at 6. Blair  loves to travel.  She has been to 12 states and 5 countries.  She likes road trips, flying on planes, and going on cruises. She loves to dance, sing, and play music. She has taken ballet and gymnastics.  She likes to run races, too. This is Blair's Mimi's doll.  Sherry got the doll for her 5th birthday.  Unfortunately, she cut the dolls hair shortly after that.  For Blair's 5th birthday, Sherry got her doll spruced up.   Blair likes to wear makeup, play dress up,  and is eccentric in what she likes to wear.  She loves JoJo Swia! Blair has been a flower girl in four weddings.  She rode in a wagon when she was barley a year old for her first one.  She will be in two more weddings before the end of the year.
