Meet Sherry

Sherry was born in Texas.  

Sherry taught elementary school for 15 years.  During the Pandemic, she taught a small pod at her house.  She loved teaching.  Especially, teaching kids to read.  

Sherry's favorite things are family, traveling, Amy Grant, Disney, and Baylor.

Sherry is the oldest of two daughters.   She loved being a big sister growing up.  She held her sister in the front seat of the car in between her parents on the way home from the hospital.  

Sherry has always loved being with her family.  She had a special bond with her paternal grandma.  

After her paternal  grandmother died, she became close to two of her aunts.  She misses them terribly.

Sherry likes to  do genealogy research.  Since her maternal grandma is 100, she knows a lot of family information about family members who were born in the 1800s.  

Sherry met her husband, Russell, when she was a freshman in high school.  They spent a lot of their dating life long distance.  After she finished high school and college, they got married.  They had dated for seven years before they got married.   They have been married for over 30 years.   This is a picture of our first date.  Russell's senior prom.  He asked me a week before Prom.  No, we weren't stylish then either.

Sherry and Russell had four children in six years.

Taylor was born when Sherry was 26.  Sherry taught Taylor when she was in 4th grade.  They both love Disney.  

Trent was born 20 months later.  Sherry taught Trent when he was in 4th grade.  They like watching football together.

Trevor was born when Sherry was 31.  Trevor is her only child she didn't get to teach.  They enjoy playing games and traveling together.

Tatum was born two 25 months after Trevor.  Sherry taught her when she was in first grade.  Sherry is elated that Tatum decided to go to college at her alma mater.  

Sherry's first grandchild was born when she was 47.  She spends a lot of time with Blair.  They like to go to Disney, the beach, and fly together and play dolls, games, and house. 

Sherry loves her family!  She enjoys going places with them and playing games with them.
