Ruth celebrates her 100th birthday

Mary Ruth and Betty Jo made Ruth 100 links to count down to her 100th  birthday.  Each week, they gave her a basket with a gift to open each day-something to wear, drink, eat, do, play, etc...
One of the things she opened was Smucker's Jam with her on the jar.

She loved the socks she got with her face as a baby in 1921 and as an 100 year old in 2021.

She wore a mask that said, "Vintage 1921, Limited Edition."

She had M & Ms with her face, name, and 1921-2021 on them.
She celebrated her 100th birthday with a party at her granddaughter's, Lisa,  house.

Ruth had a wonderful 100th birthday celebration, but we were worried she would be let down after it was over!  In order to combat that feeling, we set about getting 100 cards from all 50 states.  It was a huge success.  She got 175 cards, letters, certificates, and gifts from all 50 states, Washington DC, England, and Portugal, from family, friends, friends and family of acquaintances, governors, senators, Chet Gardner, a past president, and Mickey Mouse.  ( Sherry emailed Bob Isner after she couldn't send a card from Disneyland because of Covid.  He was kind enough to send one for her.)  We knew she would enjoy plotting out where each card came from on an atlas.  Now, she wants to see some of the places the cards came from.

Ruth is ready to travel!
